We had the pleasure of hosting the Department of Geosciences from the University of Padua for a training day at our quarries and plants in Ceraino.
Fifteen students from two master’s degree programs, accompanied by two professors, experienced an immersive day in the Fassa world, exploring sustainability, technology, and career opportunities.
The day began at the Volargne Quarry with an overview of the local geology, quarry operations, and a presentation of the company.
At the Soman Quarry, students learned about environmental restoration activities and observed the limestone washing plant upstream of the kilns.
Later, in the meeting room of the Ceraino plant, they gained insights into the lime industry, with a focus on the steel market and the slag recarbonation project—a key topic for sustainability.
Finally, the visit to the lime production facilities offered an in-depth look at kiln operations and laboratory activities.
We believe that investing in knowledge means building the future.
