Calcitic Quicklime from the Lime System is the result of over 300 years of experience in producing premium-quality lime. Produced through an exclusive soft burning method using biomass as fuel, it ensures excellent reactivity and reduced CO₂ emissions.

Strict control over raw materials – extracted from our own quarries – and continuous monitoring throughout the production cycle ensure a product of exceptional purity, with high CaO content and consistent performance over time.

PFRK technology: innovation serving quality

At the heart of our production are PFRK kilns (Parallel Flow Regenerative Kilns), state-of-the-art systems fuelled exclusively by biomass. In these kilns, limestone undergoes soft burning at precisely controlled temperatures of up to 1,100 °C. The result is a product with an optimal microporous structure.

By combining this advanced technology with carefully selected high-purity limestone, we produce Calcitic Quicklime with exceptional chemical and physical properties, capable of meeting even the most stringent requirements of modern steelmaking.
